About

Hi,

My name is Diane Watkins, and I am the working mother of 4 boys. If you’ve ever had a kid in sports, you know what hectic is. And I have four! I’d rush from work to pick them up from school at 3:00 pm, have them at practice between 4:00 and 4:30 (at 3 different fields because they were at different age leagues), then reverse the route to pick them up an hour later.

We’d arrive home tired and hungry between 5:30 and 6:00. And If it was a game night for one of them, we had to be back at the field at 7:00. All this on top of church and school activities. “What’s for dinner?” became a dreaded juggling act that I had no idea how to perform.

My husband is a very understanding and helpful man, but he was working too, and frankly, he didn’t understand why we couldn’t manage to have dinner at a reasonable hour.

We ate way too much pizza, burgers and when money allowed, chinese takeout. And don’t forget, I was supposed to find time for exercise every day, too. Finally, something had to give!

We fell into an unhealthy pattern of fast food and takeout that strained our budget and added pounds to my waistline. Finally, I’d had enough!

I would do whatever it took to conquer mealtime and learn to manage our meals. I struggled, but I figured out what needed to be done.

Now I want to share all the secrets, tips, techniques, recipes, ideas and skills I learned with you…..
